How do I export an AI chat to Markdown with Pactify?

Open a supported AI chat. In the top-right header (Badge → Sync → Export), click Export. In Export AI Conversation select Format → Markdown. Destination Download saves a .md file locally; Notion requires authorization (“Authorize with Notion to enable” when grayed). Click Export to confirm. Free Markdown may end with “Powered by Pactify – AI Chat to Notion”; Starter does not. Export never fills Sidepanel Chats.

Steps

  1. Open a chat where controls appearEnter an active conversation so the top-right header shows Badge → Sync → Export.
  2. Click Export (top-right)Click Export—the rightmost of Badge → Sync → Export. Dialog title: Export AI Conversation.
  3. Format → MarkdownUnder Format, select Markdown (“Plain text with formatting”).
  4. Destination → Download or Notion, then ExportDownload = “Save .md file locally.” Notion = “Export to Notion workspace” (authorize first if disabled). Click the Export button to finish.

Where to click

Open an active AI chat. Top-right header order is Badge → Sync → Export. Click Export. Dialog title: Export AI Conversation.

Confirm with the dialog Export button. Sending Markdown to Notion is still one-shot Export—not Sync & Enable Auto-Sync.

Tips

  • Long threads: load older messages first, or use the Sync-side Load full history and sync toggle, then export.
  • Export never fills Sidepanel Chats. Sync (even local-only “Saved to this device”) does.
  • Free footer may include Powered by Pactify – AI Chat to Notion.

Frequently asked questions

Is exporting ChatGPT to Markdown free with Pactify?

Yes — Markdown Download is unlimited on Free. Only Destination → Notion counts toward the monthly export quota. Free Markdown may still include a Pactify footer.

Why does my Markdown export include a Pactify footer?

Free Markdown/PDF may append “Powered by Pactify – AI Chat to Notion”. Starter removes that footer.
