How do I start using Pactify?

- Confirm Synced, then check NotionWhen the top-right Sync control shows Synced, open

Install → automatic setup
Add Pactify from the Chrome Web Store. Right after install, Chrome opens pactify.io/setup and guides you through onboarding:
- Sign In to Connect Notion (Step 1 of 2)
- Connect Notion Workspace (Step 2 of 2)—choose Use a template provided by the developer so

The toolbar icon opens Sidepanel → Chats (no popup). Auth tokens sync to the extension while you stay on setup.
First sync (Auto-Sync is default)
After setup you do not need to click Sync & Enable Auto-Sync first—Auto-Sync is enabled by default (same as setup step 3).
- Open a supported AI site and start or continue a conversation.
- When the chat settles, wait a moment. Top-right Badge → Sync → Export: the Sync control should turn Synced.
- In Notion, open
Pactify ConversationsunderPactify <> Notionand confirm the new row (database guide). - Optionally open Sidepanel → Chats to search the same chat locally.
Markdown/PDF Export works anytime and does not fill Chats. Use Sync & Enable Auto-Sync later only if Auto-Sync was turned off or a chat was never enabled—see Auto-Sync.
If you skipped setup
You can still connect later—same Notion result, different entry points:

Frequently asked questions
Do I need to click Sync & Enable Auto-Sync after setup?
No. After a successful setup, Auto-Sync is on by default. Start a conversation, wait for Synced, then check Pactify Conversations. Use Sync & Enable Auto-Sync only if Auto-Sync was turned off or the chat was never enabled.
Do I need to finish setup right after installing?
Setup opens automatically and is the recommended path. You can close it and connect later via Sync → Connect or Manage Connection—same Notion OAuth outcome.
Does exporting a chat add it to Search?
No. Sync / Auto-Sync (or local-only Sync path) indexes Chats.
Do I need to connect Notion to get started?
For cloud Sync to Notion, yes—finish setup or Connect later. Local search can still index chats with Saved to this device without Notion.
